Latest gnutls30.dll build: https://smedley.id.au//tmp/gnutls30.zip

I installed all of these three.
That means: I backup'd all of my current dll's and copied the new ones into x:\...\NDFS\ndplugs\*.*

From that moment on Samba does'nt work at all. In the ndctl.log I find:

NDF0033: The system can't load the module: JANSSON4
NDF0029: [  ndpsmb] plugin has not been loaded.

The same problem I find being reported by a user on December 17, 2023 in the os2world.com-forum, but no download-ressource given.

Once again: Have I overlooked something?

So sad ... nothing works.

Starting the nctl.exe gives the following:

What is worse: the ndpsmb.dbg, which I had created empty before ist still empty (in the root of c: which is my boot-drive, like you told me before).

I wonder if it has something to do with that newly employed jansson.dll. It comes from the year 2018, seems quite old to me. Do I have the correct version?

I have just copied the original structure of the jansson-2_11-1_oc00.zip that you gave me (from netlabs). Seems a little strange to me:

Hallo Lutz,

es sieht so aus, als ob du dich immer weiter in die "Kinder-A-A" reinreitest.

1) wenn du schon yum/rpm bzw. ANPM benutzt, dann würde ich dabei bleiben. Niemals irgendwie "oben drüber" eine ZIP entpacken.

2) ANPM erlaubt es einem ja auch, eine lokal vorhandene RPM zu installieren, also: keine Kommandozeile, kein Getue mit irgendwelchen yum oder rpm Parametern. Ich habe das schon gemacht und es hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Such mal ein bisschen in den ANPM Menüs herum und du solltest fündig werden

3) wenn irgendeine Fehlermeldung kommt, dass die Architektur nicht stimmt, dann solltest du, am einfachsten über ANPM, die Architektur neu auswählen. Heute sollte das "pentium4" sein und nichts anderes. Auch das findest du irgendwo in den ANPM Menüs

4) ich habe mal hier direkt nachgeschaut:

Wenn du mal die Architektur korrekt auf "pentium4" eingestellt hast, würde dir
das "release" Netlabs repo dies anbieten:
https://rpm.netlabs.org/release/00/i386 ... ntium4.rpm
und das "experimental" Netlabs repo sogar noch neuere Versionen:
https://rpm.netlabs.org/experimental/00 ... ntium4.rpm
https://rpm.netlabs.org/experimental/00 ... ntium4.rpm

Wenn das in deinem ANPM nicht auftaucht, kannst du wie weiter oben erwähnt auch einfach diese Dateien lokal auf deinen Rechner kopieren und dann mittels ANPM diese lokal vorhandenen Dateien installieren.
Natürlich kannst du, wenn diese RPM Pakete über yum/rpm oder ANPM korrekt installiert wurden diese Pakete auch wieder rückstandsfrei deinstallieren. Dann hast du wenigstens den Stand von davor.

Damit du also aus dem Sumpf rauskommst in den du dich reingeritten hast würde ich:
a) alles was die ZIP Datei auf deine Platte ergossen hat komplett löschen. Womöglich musst du hierzu DLLs entsperren oder dies von einer Boot Kommandozeile tun
b) Paket "jansson-2.11-1.oc00.pentium4.rpm" vom Netlabs "release" Repo ganz regulär installieren.
c) dann sicherstellen, dass du Netlabs "experimental" Repo aktiviert hast
d) dann Paket "jansson-2.14-1.oc00.pentium4.rpm" vom Netlabs "experimental" Repo ganz regulär installieren.

Das "unrpm" Commandfile findest du übrigens hier, hab aber keine Ahnung wie das funktioniert:

Yes, as I already said: I could install the jansson4.dll.

Again, as I reported earlier: The nctrl.exe aborted with "A non-recoverable error occurred. The process ended", and I said, there ist no log-file.

This is not true. I found a log file, named "C:\var\log\log.ndpsmb" (and not "ndpsmb.log"), and yes, there are some entries in it, but it seems they are all from my restart with the original ndpsmb.dll, which is working (so far), I can see it from the timestamp.

What shall I do?

Es handelt sich hier nicht um das "reguläre" Produkt, sondern um eine Entwicklerversion, die bestimmte Eigenschaften haben soil, die das "reguläre" Produkt nicht hat.

Mein ANPM bietet mir folgende Repositories an:
- arca_inst - disabled
- arcanoae-rel: stable repository 00
- netlabs-rel: stable repository 00 - i386

Ein "experimental" repo habe ich also nicht. Und über die Menü-Option "Repositories -> Add ... ein Repository hinzuzufügen - dazu fehlt mir das Wissen über die einzugebenden Namen / Parameter.

d) dann Paket "jansson-2.14-1.oc00.pentium4.rpm" vom Netlabs "experimental" Repo ganz regulär installieren.

entfällt notgedrungenerweise. Ich konnte aber eine Version 2.13 im "release" finden, habe die installiert.
Ergibt eine Datei C:\usr\lib\jansson4.dll vom 10.Okt. 2020. Soweit so gut.
Ich fahre also fort mit der jansson-Version 2.13, die als "stable" gilt.

Übrigens bei mir nicht vorhanden ist jansson für die pentium4-Plattform. Nur i686 wird im ANPM angeboten. Und ja, ich habe die pentium4-Plattform ausgewählt und nach oben geschoben (somit aktiviert).

Aber deine angegebenen Direkt-Links mit "experimental" und "pentium4" haben funktioniert (also doch wieder am ANPM vorbei...).
Edit: Tja .. Theorie und Praxis: Das Paket "jansson-2.14-1.oc00.pentium4.rpm", über ANPM installiert, ergibt dieselbe Datei jansson4.dll vom 19.10.2020. Also identisch mit der 2.13.

Soweit es also die Installation von jansson betrifft, ist alles gut.

Ich hatte fleißig mitgelesen und, obwohl NetDrive bei mir funktionierte, den Versuch gewagt, auf Pauls Version zu updaten. @Paul: Thanks!!
Nur mit ANPM funktioniert das eben nicht. Ich habs Dank der einzelnen Dateien händisch eingepflegt. Funktioniert. Welchen Vorteil ich jetzt gegenüber der alten Version habe weis ich (noch) nicht. Benutzung aber weiterhin per FC/2 und nicht WPS....

Du beziehst dich da auf die jansson4.dll.
Entscheidend für ggf. Verbesserungen ist aber ndpsmb.dll, und die sollte - auch bei dir - ein Datum von 2022 haben. Oder?
